Puppy Love!!
An older book with a wonderful message about friendship and its true meaning. I read this with 1st graders and it provided an excellent opportunity to discuss the characteristics of being a good friend. Also the value of pets and their unconditional love was emphasized. We made an art project afterwards using different sizes of hearts to make LOVELY puppies to decorate our classroom door.
